Configurable multimedia CDs for TweenSense

TweenSense, a company specialized in 3D visualization of architectural projects, needed a standard and practical, yet attractive way of delivering the final products to their clients. It had to be attractive and time-effective. For this, I developed a CD which could be easily customized through a very simple application, so that it would have the unique content that each project demands. The application even generated automatically customized CD stickers and covers for the given project.

By following this link you can download a demo version of the CD as well as a copy of the customizing application.

Hong Kong Design Institute – Logo competition

The Hong Kong Design Institute held an international competition to design their new logo. Every individual could enter up to 3 different proposals that reflected the values and interests the Design institute seeks to promote.
The following are the 3 proposals that I submitted to the competition.

HDKI - Logo 1

This logo is both an abstraction of the letters H and K and of a human figure that symbolizes how the people are central to the design practice in general and how the students are the institute’s biggest asset. (more…)

Muse – an MP3 player with an e-ink/touch based interface

Muse 2As part of a design exercise at the TU Delft we were given the task to design a logo and an interface based entirely on typography for an MP3 player. The player was in the shape of a cylinder and would use e-ink and a touch sensitive surface as a use interface.

By clicking the image below, you can open an interactive model which I made in flash, to illustrate how the interface looked and worked.

AnneSieraden.nl

Anne Renkema is a Dutch goldsmith who makes use of modern and classic crafting techniques for creating her jewelry.

I was given the assignment of developing her flash website so that she could easily update it herself without any flash knowledge.

TweenSense Portfolio

TweenSense is the company where I used to work. we were specialized in the visualization of architectural plans through the use of high quality virtual maquettes, renders and animations.

This was our portfolio site designed and developed by me in flash. It had the advantage that it could also be easily distributed as a multimedia CD, making it very versatile.

Unfortunately the company no longer exists and the website has been taken offline ever since, but a working copy can be found on my own server HERE.

TweenSense.com is the internet website of the company where I used to work. We were specialized in the visualization of architectural projects via interactive maquettes, high quality renders and animations. The website had to be simple and eye catching, and it must show in a very straight forward manner what our products are and the high quality we deliver.

Unfortunately the company no longer exists and the website has been taken offline ever since, but a working copy can be found on my own server HERE.

Okkebas: A website for a typical Delft student house

‘Okkebas’ is a student house in Delft where I used to live and I designed a website for it in my free time. It’s a very interesting site where you can customize the look of your own character and use him to walk around the house and to interact with the different objects.

DSVV Punch – 10 years logo

Punch - 01Punch is a student sport union in delft and in the year 2005 they were celebrating a decade as owners of their own ‘boat-bar’.

They asked me to design a logo  for the celebration, which could be used in different types of print material, such as flyers, posters and even beer glasses.

The logo was made in a single color to allow for a flexible use in different media, and of course, the 10 years anniversary and the boat were central in the design.

You can see an example of one of the beer glasses underneath.

TweenSense logo

TweenSense is a company where I used to work which was specialised in interactive 3D environments for architectural plans. They needed a redesign of their logo that would reflect on the nature of their business.

I designed this logo as an upgrade on  TweenSense’s previous logo (an orange cube), by giving it a sketchy look that can be associated to hand made sketches of 3D solids which is typical in the architectural design world. It is combined with a font used typically in basic print material such as blueprints. (more…)
